Wow, Challenge Atlantic City was a really hard, long race. I guess they don’t call it an iron distance triathlon for nothing. With your training plan, I felt well prepared for my first full Ironman. I just wanted to give you an update on the Lake Placid Ironman. In 2012, using your beginner training plan, I finished in 13:56:23. This was my first full Ironman. This year, using your intermediate training plan and putting in extra time over the winter on the bike, I finished in 12:57:17. I am ecstatic with this much of an improvement at my age (52 in September) considering I only started getting into shape and participating in triathlons 5 years ago now.
Well, I am an Ironman! What an amazing and fulfilling experience. My family was there the whole time. Some pictures they captured I could do without!
